Using the market knowledge he gained as a toy salesman, Russ Berrie began designing his own products in 1963 and Russ Berrie, Inc was born. Over the next twenty years, the company established its headquarters in Oakland, NJ and expanded both nationally and internationally, opening offices in California, Korea, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. In 1992, worldwide Troll mania launched Russ Berrie to the top of the American toy industry.
